Dear Readers,

If you read the note at the end of Part 63, you know I’m going to proceed with future chapters in ways that suit my own preferences. This means there is a good chance that the story will, at some point, contain one or more (if not all) of the following:

Outlandish situations that aren’t necessarily explained.
Detailed sex scenes.
Detailed discipline scenes.
Crossovers with other series.
Complete and utter disregard for canon in any given series.

Originally, I did not plan to keep posting the fic publicly, thinking that readers would not be interested in the story’s new path. The overwhelmingly positive response has made me decide to keep posting it. The next consideration is whether or not comments will be enabled, screened, or turned off. I may have to experiment with all three options.

Comments, even if enabled, are not necessary, but encouragement is always welcome. However, this is NOT a story where I’m looking for a critique, so the rules for comments are simple:

-Don’t correct me on canon; I KNOW canon. This story isn’t it.

-No disparaging comments about corporal punishment. Don’t like it, don’t read it.

-If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything. Silence won’t offend me or stop me from posting – negativity might.

If this notice seems excessive or unreasonable, please understand that it is past experience that makes it necessary. I’m just trying to have fun here. :)

AUTHOR’S NOTE:

I apologize to the faithful readers of this story, but this is probably the final public chapter. I started out writing it for just my wife and myself, so I didn’t worry much about what others would think and went along doing my own thing. After a couple dozen chapters, though, it was impossible not to notice the popularity it had taken on in all the venues I’m posting it (LiveJournal, ff.net, Yahoogroups.) It was a wonderful feeling and I’m grateful to everyone, but it’s also a double-edged sword. More readers meant the more I began to worry about pleasing others more than myself and my wife, and once I realized that was happening, I began having less fun with the story.

So while I’m going to be continuing with the fic with Part 64, it’s going to be much more AU than before. There’ll probably be sex, crossovers, discipline scenes (I used to write spank fics and I miss that sometimes), and a lot more suspended disbelief situations that I won’t feel like explaining. Fortunately, I won’t have to, because it’s going back to being written just for my wife and myself (and maybe close friends who have proven to be tolerant of my writing whims.) For these reasons, I don’t know if I’ll be posting it publicly anywhere or not, I’ll have to think about it. The only thing I do know for certain is that it won’t be appearing on ff.net anymore because of the necessary rating change, among other things.

*EDIT* One of my biggest fears in posting a 'different' version of the fic in the future was that people would be disappointed and feel it takes away from what there was before. It seems many are willing to keep reading despite that risk, so perhaps I'll keep posting it here after all, but I might disable or screen comments when I do, just in case others aren't so tolerant of my veering from the previous path. ;)
