Takeru lay on his futon, waiting. He had no doubt that the person who would share his sleeping space that night would not be late.

Sure enough, the door slid open briefly, then closed again. He didn't get a look at the one who had entered, but felt him approach his side and kneel respectfully.

"Ryunosuke," he said, finally turning his head to see the beautiful Samurai in the dancing shadow of candlelight. "As expected, you're right on time." Takeru pulled back the covers. "Join me," he invited.

Ryunosuke slipped in with him and Takeru drew the quilt back over them both. "Are you sure about this?" he asked the Kabuki actor.

"I was raised to obey my Lord in all things," Ryunosuke answered dutifully. "If you require this of me, Tono, I will not object."

"Even if I give you permission to object?" Takeru inquired pointedly. Ryunosuke raised lowered eyes to meet his Lord’s.

"Don't, please," he begged softly. "I was so happy that you told me to come to you tonight. Don't send me away."

As if he would, when his open, earnest face was so close and their bodies were warm under the covers together. Takeru smiled and touched the other boy’s cheek, then smoothed back some of his hair. He pulled Ryunosuke’s head forward and kissed him. Fire and Water would combine to make steam.
