Two Shinkenger drabbles!
A couple of Shinkenger drabbles I wrote for the drabble community on Dreamwidth.
Commitment (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger)
Ikename Ryunosuke was raised to be ShinkenBlue. His father drilled into him that the 18th Head of the Shiba Clan would be his Tono – his Lord – and it was his sacred duty to follow, protect, and obey him. When he finally met Shiba Takeru, he was not disappointed; here was a phenomenal swordfighter who could lead the Shinkengers into battle against the Gedoushu and win.
He couldn’t understand ShinkenGreen’s profane declarations that he would serve Takeru only until he surpassed him. They were his vassals, and his leadership should be absolute. Ryunosuke was honoured to risk his life for him.

The Newest Samurai (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger)
“Takeru, Ryunosuke,” Mako crooked at finger at them, “you’ll want to come see this.”
The boys glanced at each other, then followed her. Curious, Chiaki tagged along.
Mako led them to the laundry room where Kotoha was peering into the washing machine worriedly. She moved aside as they approached.
“What’s going on?” Takeru asked.
“It seems the Kuroko made a little mistake with the laundry and put yours and Ryunosuke’s in together.” Mako reached in and pulled out a button-down shirt that was a vivid shade of violet.
“So,” she smiled mischievously, “which one of you wants to be ShinkenPurple?”
