Haruka's Fanfiction

Furukawa Yuuta strode purposefully into the dance club. When his eyes adjusted to the light, he saw the object of his search sitting at the bar with Ookawa Genki and Saitoh Yasuka. He headed over.

Yasuka saw him first, “Hey Yuuta, how’s it going?”

Yuuta nodded to him briefly, but stopped in front of Aiba Hiroki.

“All right, Hiroki, I want to know why you’ve been badmouthing me to our friends. Masa told me what you said last night.”

Aiba slowly took a sip of his drink, then raised his eyes to meet Yuuta’s. “I didn’t say anything but the truth.”

“What was that?” Genki whispered to Yasuka, who shrugged.

Yuuta was glaring at Hiroki. “You said that the reason you got the Shinkenger part instead of me was because I don’t have the same range in my acting as you do!”

“Ooo …,” Yasuka and Genki murmured.

Hiroki ran a fingertip along the edge of his glass. “Yes,” he admitted, “I did say that.”

Yuuta clenched his fists, his jaw tight. “That’s pretty funny coming from someone who’s singing and dancing is nowhere close to being on par with mine.”

Hiroki looked up sharply, then turned away. “Try to show a little dignity in defeat, Yuuta. The part is mine; deal with it.”

Genki and Yasuka’s eyes were as big as dinner plates, but somehow managed to grow even larger when Yuuta grabbed Genki’s glass and dumped the contents over Hiroki’s head.

The other actor was on his feet in an instant, shoving Yuuta backwards. “Are you out of your mind?! Has graduation from Tenimyu driven you completely insane?!”

That subject was still touchy enough with Yuuta that he didn’t think twice about his next action, which was to slap Hiroki sharply across the face. Hiroki blinked, then slapped Yuuta back.

As Yasuka and Genki told their friends later, things went downhill from there. The two former Fujis put on a wonderful display of girl-fighting; slapping, biting, scratching, and hair-pulling. The two had to be dragged off of each other, and then were promptly ejected from the club, with a warning never to return.

It was several weeks before the pair saw each other again at a party. Hiroki apologized to Yuuta for what he had said, and Yuuta said he was sorry for starting the fight, but they never did call each other ‘friend’ again.
