Sprefvent - Compilation 57 (Crossover)

The following wasn't written as a fic, but rather as (edited) excerpts from a spanking RPG called ‘Spanking Refugee Vent’ or ‘Sprefvent’ for short. Since the Jan 2009 re-set of the game, I’m playing characters from X-Men, Kamen Rider Kiba, and several ‘real person’ Tenimyu performers. The use of the term ‘Changechildren’ comes from my fic series of the same name. Same-sex relationships may be included, ages are altered; nothing is necessarily canon. Please note that although spanking is the main topic in the RPG, characters are allowed to vent about other things, so not ALL excerpts may contain spanking.

Sprefvent - Compilation 57

One day about a month ago, I came home and began bringing a bunch of different-sized cases into the house. Rei and Jason were instantly curious, but when Richard and Jiro walked in and saw me open the first one, that's when things got interesting.

"What the hell is that?" Jiro asked as I pulled out a round colourful object that was flat on two sides.

"It's a drum!" Rei exclaimed, taking the snare out of my hands and showing it to Jason.

"Yep!" I said cheerfully, opening the case for the bass and then one of the cymbals.

"If that's what's in all of these, you can just pack them right back up again," Richard said firmly. " I don't want drums in this house."

"I agree," Jiro said, frowning at me. "You should have asked us first, Genki. Drums are really hard on werewolf ears."

"Not if you wear protection," I replied, folding my arms. "Besides, you HAVE to let me keep them -- they're for work!"

"What are you talking about?" Richard asked irritably. " How can a set of drums be necessary for your work?"

I grinned at him. "I'm going to be in a new movie about a glam band and I'm the drummer!"

"That is so cool!" Jason slapped me on the back. "Congratulations!"

"That's for sure!" Rei agreed, pulling out a pair of drumsticks I'd tucked in one of the bags and clacking them together. "So you have to learn how to play drums for the movie, right?"

"Right!" I took the drumsticks from him only to have Jiro pluck them from my fingers.

"Wrong," he said. "You can't play those here."

"I have to!" I insisted. "Where else am I going to play them?!"

Jiro and Richard exchanged a look.

"Come on, you guys," Jason said cajolingly. "You knew he was an actor when you took him in." He threw an arm around my shoulders. "This sounds like a fantastic role, Don't ruin it for him."

"Like he said, we can wear protection," Rei added. "Just when he practices."

The adult wolves muttered and complained, but in the end had to say yes.

Throughout the next month, I played those drums every day. Rei and Jason were impressed by how good I was at it right from the start, and I even gave them lessons and allowed them to use the drums when I wasn’t playing them.

Jiro and Richard spent a lot of time away from the house, and when they were home, they gave me pained looks any time I went near the drums, even before I touched them!

Then yesterday Hiroki was over here, and we were kicking back with video games and talking about mutual friends in the business. Richard was sitting nearby reading the paper, Jiro was teaching Rei to play chess, and Jason had headphones on, listening to the stereo.

“We’re going to see Renn and Tohru tomorrow for the press conference,” Hiroki mentioned, avoiding my game character’s attempt to steal his inventory. “The last time we were all together was for the second Sweet Boys movie only … what? Three months ago?”

“Yeah, that was a lot of fun.” I laughed, remembering the goofing around on the set we’d all done.

“And didn’t you just wrap up that band movie with Renn a month ago? And now with the third Sweet Boys movie about to start, you’ll have been with him non-stop for half a year. Oh wait, a whole year – you guys were on the same Tenimyu team, too!”

“Wait, back up,” Jiro interrupted suddenly, and I realized uneasily that Richard and Rei were both looking our way now. Jason noticed a change in the tone of things and took off his headphones. “Did he just say that you wrapped up a band movie a month ago?”

I swallowed and smiled tentatively. “Uhh, yeah, he did.”

“And this movie you’re about to start – this one is NOT a band movie?”

“It’s a second sequel to a movie we did about a year ago,” Hiroki explained, blissfully unaware that he was nailing my coffin shut. “It’s about four young guys who run a café. Genki plays a character named Sardine; isn’t that funny?”

He might have wondered why no one laughed, but I knew. Jiro and Richard were both getting to their feet, and my video game character died a gruesome death on the tv screen.

I hoped I wasn’t about to follow him.

“You told us you needed to be playing those cursed drums for a movie!” Richard accused.

“I DID need them – back when we were still filming,” I said, edging away to the far end of the couch. “But when we finished filming, they offered me the drums to take home, and –“

“And you didn’t think we’d agree to it if you didn’t conjure up a lie about how they were NECESSARY!” Jiro concluded angrily.

“Wow, he even lied to us,” Jason said softly, glancing at Rei, who shrugged.

“I guess he didn’t have a choice, since we were all there when he brought them in. And Genki wouldn’t hesitate to lie, anyway.”

Hiroki finally clued in that he’d stirred up a hornet’s nest and slipped toward the door, giving me an apologetic look over his shoulder. “I’ll talk to you later, Genki.”

“Yeah, if there’s anything left of me,” I mumbled.

The door shut behind him and everyone stood looking at me expectantly.

“I’m sorry?” I ventured hopefully.

“ARE you?” Richard demanded. “I don’t appreciate being lied to!”

“Me either,” Jiro said. “You could have at least asked us about the drums.”

“Yeah, and that’s what you said when I brought them home!” I told him. “You wouldn’t have let me keep them unless there was a reason why I HAD to!”

“I think he’s right,” Jason said, then grinned. “Anyway, it’s been fun having them here.”

“It has NOT!” both adults yelled at him and he ducked behind Rei in mock fear.

“Genki,” Jiro stared me down, “those drums are out of this house.”

“Awwwww!” we three groaned.

“Come on, Jiro, I LIKE playing the drums, and I’m good at it,” I said. “Can’t I at least keep them in the basement?”

“No, still too close,” he said firmly. “You can keep them in the garage until the neighbours start complaining. If that happens, they’re gone.”

“Okay,” I sighed. It was the best I could hope for.

“And consider yourself lucky that I’m not spanking you for lying to all of us!” he warned. “Instead you can stay off the drums entirely for a month and give us a chance to regain our hearing and sanity.”

I didn’t point out that with werewolf healing, his hearing was never in any danger. The timing just wouldn’t have been right.

I guess I don’t really mind not being allowed to play the drums again for a while; I’m going to be busy filming the new movie, anyway. But if anyone else wants to come over and give them a try, feel free! Just don’t tell them I sent you. XD

Genki

*A/N* You can find trailers for Genki's movie Beatrock Love on Youtube
*Note* This might be the last installment of Sprefvent for a while, as two of our four players are MIA for an undetermined length of time. I'll be working on other writing projects in the meantime.
