Out of Favour (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger)

Ikenami Ryunosuke was prepared to give up Kabuki to be a Shinkenger. He’d known it was coming; he’d been taught that serving the Head of the Shiba Clan was his destiny and his honour. Now he was throwing himself wholeheartedly into his new role, but Shiba Takeru remained unimpressed.

He felt guilty that he was disappointed in Takeru’s reception to his devotion. Rather than show him favour, he called him ‘annoying.’ It hurt, but he tried to hide it. If that was Takeru’s way, Ryunosuke would accept it as a good servant should.

And perhaps someday, Takeru would accept _him_.
