Haruka's Fanfiction

Not too general at all! :) If it's okay, I'll post it in the morning; I wasn't expecting an answer so soon (or maybe even at all, ha ha) and I put this up right before bed. But tomorrow for sure, and thanks for your request! :D

I suppose many people would assume that our tryst would end up making drastic changes in our lives afterwards; that we would leave our boyfriends and want to be each other's one and only forever after.

It didn't work that way. What actually happened was that our being together resolved all the unspoken (if you'll pardon the expression) sexual tension that had been hovering over us for so long. Tezuka had always been fascinating to me on many levels, and as close friends as we had been, I still felt that there were secrets I hadn't yet discovered. Maybe he felt that way, too. However, for that time in the clubhouse, there were no secrets and we saw each other as we really are for the first time.

Our friendship deepened after that, as did my relationship with Taka-san. Obviously, we never told anyone what happened, but we've never forgotten it, either. Any lingering doubts we may have had vanished, and we were able to go on with our lives and relationships with full hearts, never again having to wonder 'what if?' ^_^

That was certainly my intention at the time! That concoction from Canada is so vile I'm still not sure it's safe for human consumption, but as he had tricked me into swallowing it, he deserved no less from me.

I managed to appropriate the bottle of cough syrup during a point in the show when Shirota was on stage and I was not, but I knew I couldn't keep it because then he would be suspicious. I poured some of it into an empty water bottle, then watered down the original medicine bottle enough that he wouldn't notice any was missing. I kept my bottle hidden until the backstage party, then asked Saitoh to bring me some juice, which they had given out in styrofoam cups. He watched as I poured some out and replaced it with the cough syrup.

"How are you going to get him to drink that?" he asked. "He won't trust you with anything liquid tonight."

"That's why YOU are going to do it," I said.

He protested, but I assured him that if Shirota went after him, he could blame me completely. I WANTED Shirota to know who did it.

Off Saitoh went with the juice. I saw him nearly reach Shirota when Ueshima-sensei passed by, plucking the cup from his hand. "Thanks, kid!" he said cheerfully, and downed it in one swallow.

It was the shortest cast party on record ....

The first thing we had to do was tell Gonza. Once we'd cleaned up and dressed, we went downstairs together. I'll admit, I had a tell-tale smirk on my face that just would NOT go away.

We found him in the kitchen, putting groceries away. "Kouga-sama!" the older gentleman said. "I wasn't sure you were home. And Rei! What a pleasant surprise."

"Hey Gonza," I greeted. "Good to see you, too." I went over and helped empty the bags. "Ooo, pastries!"

"Back away from the sugar, boy," Kouga warned, and I put down the box with a longing look. "Gonza, we need to tell you something important."

His faithful butler could tell something was up, glancing between us with a mixture of concern and curiosity. "What is it?"

"Rei and I --" Kouga started, then seemed to re-think his beginning. "Today the two of us -- that is, we decided to ...."

"What he's trying to say is that we did the nasty up in his room just now," I piped up helpfully.

"REI!" Kouga, Zaruba, and Silva all yelled at me. I winced.

Gonza cleared his throat. "I see," he said, trying to maintain his dignity while his face was turning an interesting shade of red. "So, Rei will be living here from now on then?"

I beamed. "Great idea!"

"What?" Kouga exclaimed. "We didn't talk about -- you can't just --"

I threw an arm around his shoulders. "You're having so much trouble finishing sentences today, why don't I lay it out for you? You're a stiff, overbearing stick-in-the-mud, and I love you. I'm pretty sure you consider me to be a too-casual, flighty, immature brat, and that you love me, too. So why SHOULDN'T we live together?"

Kouga did his best fish imitation by opening and closing his mouth a few times, but nothing ever came out. He finally shut it firmly, looked over at Gonza, and nodded decisively.

And so I moved in. The Watchdogs didn't like it, but we don't like them, so annoying them was just icing on the cake for us.

Mmm, cake ....

Kazu: Okay, well, first of all, obviously _I_ was the seme ....

Haruka: The first time.

Kazu: EVERY time.

Haruka: Every time I was willing to let you have your way, which was the FIRST time.

Kazu: You're really annoying, you know that?

Haruka: I love you, too.

Kazu: GAH! All right, all right, moving on. The morning-after conversation was pretty short, due to the fact that we were awakened by Kiyoi calling us down for breakfast, and we didn't have time to fool around --

Haruka: That sounds naughty.

Kazu: IT DOES NOT! Well ... maybe a little. But that's not what I meant! What I was saying was that we had to hoof it down before Kiyoi came in and saw us together.

Haruka: Again.

Kazu: *sigh* Again.

Haruka: But that didn't stop us from lingering on the futon for just a couple of minutes while he told me how hot I'd been and how sexy I looked in the morning with my hair tousled --

Kazu: THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN!

Haruka: Did too. Don't be embarrassed; I thought it was sweet.

Kazu: *fume* ANYWAY, after we'd gone downstairs and realized that Kiyoi wasn't surprised to see Haruka, I figured I'd be hearing from him later, and I was right. He took me aside just before we were about to leave and suggested that I lock my bedroom door anytime I have a 'friend sleeping over.'

Haruka: Kiyoi-san's pretty cool. He didn't even tell us that I couldn't stay over again.

Kazu: Maybe he figured I'd come to my senses on my own and just not invite you! Oh, wait, that wouldn't stop you since you invited YOURSELF in the first place!

Haruka: I didn't hear you sending me away after you fed and we had --

Kazu: Getting back to the questions, I'm still living with Kiyoi and the boys, and Haruka is still living in his own place, which is as it should be!

Haruka: I don't know why you're fighting it. Why don't you just ask me to move in with you and your family?

Kazu: MOVE IN WITH US?!?!

Haruka: Thanks! Don't mind if I do! :D

Kazu: *sputter* WHAT --?! WAIT, I --!

Haruka: You know, Kiyoi already mentioned to me that it might be a good idea, considering our relationship and how lonely I am at my place, but I thought I should wait until you brought it up. Come on, let's go start packing my stuff!

Kazu: X_X
